1. Print a book of the Bible on your printer Print any book of the Bible from your computer. Many books are quite short but even longer books, like Isaiah, will be more interesting and life transforming. |
2. Mark up the text as you read Use some colored pens and high-lighters to mark up what you read. As you see things that get your attention, underline or highlight them. If you have comments or questions, write those near the verses. |
3. Read the entire book Many books of the Bible can be read in less than 30 minutes. As you get involved in reading and studying, you will want to spend more time with God. |
4. The Spirit of God will help you understand Ask God to help you understand what you are reading. With God's help you can understand the Bible. |
Many web sites have multiple translations of the Bible. If you are not sure which translation to pick, I would recommend the New International Version (NIV), the New American Standard Bible (NASB), or the Net Bible. The BibleGateway website has many versions of the Bible. Any version of the Bible will permit you to copy and paste the book into your computer for your personal use. My preference is to print the text with no foot notes or paragraph headings. |
